I used to work in hospitals and in patients’ homes during my education and the loveliest experience I have gathered from the Children and Newborn ward.
When my first daughter was a newborn, I read about the benefits of the wool and I decided to take her a wool mattress to improve her sleeping environment. She loved it at sight and her sleep became deeper and longer.
So I started reading more about how the environment interferes with our wellbeing. I decided to give my second child, right after birth, a bassinet entirely made of natural materials.
The first bassinet was made by the inspiration from a bed my father in law, a great ancestral engineer and technician, has made for his daughter. I liked how easy it was to move around the house and how easy and simple is to fold and store it. Not least, the textile bassinet of the crib was easily removable and washable. I brought together these features and the classic shape with raw, natural materials and the loved Koota Baby Bassinet was created.
Then I decided that I have to make available my bed to other mothers, just like I give my care for the babies and families in the children and newborn ward. Bringing comfort and safety to help mum to enjoy the time around the baby.
